Youth who need a second chance often don’t know where to look to get help. We create partnerships between school districts and colleges to reconnect off-track and out-of-school youth with their education and a brighter future.
For every dollar invested in Gateway to College programming, we are able to leverage $11 in school district funding and public services to support a Gateway student earning a high school diploma AND college credit.
The window to reengage out-of-school youth is small—these students are close to aging out of the education system. Gateway to College intervenes before the school district funding that supports their education disappears.
We support 41 Gateway to College programs in 21 states across the country, serving nearly 5,000 youth annually. More than likely, there are Gateway students in your backyard!
Our goal is for all youth to graduate with their high school diploma and a pathway to a meaningful postsecondary credential. Read Gateway student success stories here!
