The Fall Job Fairs will offer immediate job opportunities with 20 Portland-based employers. Similar to the April Opportunity Youth Job Fair, these fairs will have jobs for 16 to 24 year olds, and they will also be open to anyone seeking meaningful employment.

About the Opportunity Fair

The Fall Job Fairs build on the success of the Opportunity Youth Job Fair held at the Oregon Convention Center in April 2018. Results from that fair include:

1200 youth and young adults were in attendance, and 63% of attendees self-identified as persons of color. 209 young adults interviewed for jobs, and 103 received job offers. The average salary offered was $14.30. 100 young adults spent up to 30 minutes with volunteers practicing interview skills, and 150 young adults worked at the computer stations to fill out online job applications or to begin their Worksystems Connect2Career profiles.
